Realization of temporary interior exhibit - Bergen
Entitled Sărutate iarasi si iara. Icoane românești din Transilvania, a title inspired by the poem Ayiasma of the Swedish poet Gunnar Ekelöf, the exhibition opened at the Museum of the University of Bergen in the period from December 4th, 2015 - February14th, 2016 was born from the Norwegians desire to be able to know a little bit of faith, hope and love that flows continuously and faithful in the sacred icons of Orthodox liturgical space. The 30 icons that were the subject of the exhibition, among which included the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary from Dragomireşti Monastery (jud. Maramures) were displayed less like an exercise in art history or promote an aesthetic experience. It was stressed primarily on the relational dimension, the network comprising, the dedication, practices and events surrounding cult icons, because they provide an experience of faith In fact, through structures meant to suggest austerity of Romanian wooden churches, was built an ambience, an atmosphere in which silence, darkness and simplicity formed an environment conducive to contemplation and meditation.
