Biserica „Sf. Cuvioasă Paraschiva” din Mesentea (jud. Alba), construită în 1778, a fost pictată în 1781-1782 de Stan Zugravul din Rășinari și echipa formată din soția Ilinca, fiica Ana și ginerele Ioan Covaci din Orăștie. Semnăturile lor pot fi citite în altar, pe pereții de nord și de sud ai naosului, pe stâlpii iconostasului și printre elementele de decor vegetal ale scenei „Strașnica Moarte”, reprezentată în încăperea de la baza turnului.
